On Thursday, September 3, 2026, the Madison Development Corporation (MDC) formally opened a new set of mixed income apartments named after Madison resident, Vic Bankston.
Vic had served on the board for 27 years and her diligence and dedication was rewarded by the board by naming the new residence, located at 429 W. Mifflin Street as one of MDC’s 429 affordable workforce housing units located in the Madison/Dane County area. Because of its location, The Bankston apartments primarily cater to students. However, anyone interested in living in the Mifflin Street corridor can apply to live there.
