Urban Triage, Inc. held a grand opening on Nov. 15 for its new office and community space, located at 2312 South Park Street in Madison.
The nonprofit organization raised $63,250 of their $100,000 goal to cover the expense of creating a space for ALL Black people – a space that is culturally sound, welcoming, creative, and includes all the necessities required to capture and engage Black entrepreneurs, youth, families, and other populations that are often forgotten and most vulnerable, according to a press release.
Urban Triage has served more than 6,500 Black people, Black families, Black entrepreneurs, and Black businesses. Its vision is to empower and inspire breakthroughs and transformation by way of education and leadership in Black children, Black women, Black men, Black entrepreneurs, and Black communities. Our mission is to foster, develop, and strengthen Black entrepreneurs and Black families’ self-sufficiency, community leadership, advocacy, and family success through psychoeducation, community engagement, trauma response, healing, and cultural heritage.
