An intriguing afternoon Chat took place on October 10th at the Black Business Hub.
With small groupings of chatter over lunch, ribbons of conversations spread across the room. From introductions to familiar sightings, the room filled, and the audience gathered with eager eyes.
Leotha Stanley, publisher of Umoja magazine and co-designer of the intimate meet and greet introduced Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra’s CEO, Joe Loehnis and its Composer Curator, Dr. Bill Banfield and Pulitzer Prize-winning and Emmy-Grammy-nominated composer Michael Abels.

It was nice to experience some positivity with everything going on in the world today. Plus, what a rare opportunity for many in Madison Wisconsin to be able to meet and ask questions with such an amazing world-renowned celebrity, Michael Abels in anticipation for an outstanding performance at the Overture Center taking place later that night!
Other composers featured for the evening included… Patrice Rushen, Valerie Coleman and Andre Myers.
