
Step One: Voter Registration
Choose one:
- I checked MyVote.wi.gov, and my voter registration is up-to-date.
- I have a current WI ID, and will register to vote at https://MyVote.wi.gov by October 14.
- I will register to vote with proof of address at Democracy in the Park September 26 or October 3.
- I will register to vote by mail, with proof of address, by October 14.
- I will register to vote with proof of address at the Clerk’s Office by October 30.
- I will register to vote at an In-Person Absentee Voting site with proof of address, October 20-30.
- I will register to vote with proof of address at the polls on Election Day.
Step Two: Voting Options

The Clerk’s Office is working with Public Health to take safety precautions for each of these options.
- Absentee by mail – request by October 19 to make sure I receive it in time

Step Three: Cast My Ballot

The Clerk’s Office is working with Public Health to take safety precautions for each of these options.
Absentee via Mail
Make sure envelope is sealed, signed by me, signed by a witness, and lists witness’ address.
- Return absentee through the mail – Mail back by Monday, October 19, to be safe
- Return absentee to poll workers at Democracy in the Park September 26 or October 3
- Deliver absentee to a ballot drop-off site before November 3
- Deliver absentee to an absentee voting site, October 20 – November 1
- Deliver absentee to the City Clerk’s Office (open weekdays 8-4:30) by Election Day
- Deliver absentee to my polling place on Election Day
Early Voting/In-Person Absentee
- Vote absentee in person, October 20 – November 1
Election Day
- Cast my ballot at my polling place on Election Day (I may use my own black or blue ballpoint pen)
- Cast my ballot a the curb of my polling place on Election Day (look for Vote Here feather flag)
