Britney Sinclair is a dynamic community leader, event organizer, and marketing consultant whose work has consistently centered on uplifting and empowering communities of color. A proud Madison, WI native, she has dedicated over a decade to creating spaces that celebrate Black culture, foster connection, and amplify the voices of women and marginalized groups.
After attending Northern Michigan University, she returned to Madison with a determination to make a difference, even without a degree. Recognizing the lack of awareness around the impactful work of POC-led nonprofits, she self-studied and networked extensively, becoming a driving force in the local nonprofit scene. From 2014-2016, she interned with the Literacy Network and served as a Community Event Organizer Committee Lead for the Foundation for Black Women’s Wellness, where she helped promote events that empowered mental health and wellness to black women and families.
In 2016, she launched Crafternoons, a groundbreaking social event series that brought women of color together in safe spaces to craft, connect, and learn skills for their homes. This initiative reflected her commitment to fostering community and creativity among women.

Her passion for storytelling and community engagement led her to co-create and manage Conversation Mixtape (2014-2016) with Sabrina Madison, a platform that sparked meaningful dialogue and connection. She also served as the event and social media coordinator for Intellectual Ratchet (2016-2018), curating inclusive events for Black professionals who embraced both ratchet and professional vibes in unconventional spaces.
From 2016-2018, she managed social media campaigns for Community Shares, leveraging her marketing expertise to amplify the voices of nonprofits. Her consulting work through BreSocial further solidified her reputation as a trusted partner for nonprofits seeking to elevate their impact.
After relocating to Dallas, TX, in 2018, she returned to Madison in the summer of 2024, bringing her wealth of experience and passion back to her hometown. She now serves as the Community Engagement and Education Coordinator at WCO, where she continues to break barriers and uplift her community.
A mother of three (13, 16, and 19), she takes pride in raising children who express their artistic personalities through music and art. Her journey is a testament to resilience, creativity, and the power of community. She remains committed to creating spaces where women of color can thrive, ensuring their stories are heard and celebrated, not just during Women’s History Month, but every day.
