A: I like to help our world by letting them know the importance of good health and showing humility to one another. Our healthcare system hasn’t done a great job improving care for our patients, which are restrictive practices associated with managed care, racial/ethnic and gender bias in healthcare delivery, hospital errors, medical fraud, and higher cost. Our patients need our help especially families who have nothing or speak out, they need to have someone who can speak for them and make them feel important. My first experience offering health services was helping the elderly at a small clinic in my village at the age of 5. I plan to continue this work by opening a non-profit hospital that partners with student-run clinics to offer services to immigrant families. I also plan to keep connecting with doctors and attending healthcare seminars in order to build and stay connected with the local healthcare communities and stay up to date on the most current issues impacting our patients so that we can all properly attend to their needs. This is how I plan to help our world.
