After seeing literacy and other statistics for Black and brown students in Madison, and then data for Verona students, Korbey White knew he had to get involved.
Dr. Jessie Price arrived in Madison in 1977 as an esteemed scientist poised to spend the second leg of her career as a research microbiologist in the National Wildlife Health Center of the National Biological Service.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Hosts Community Electronics Recycling Event

On June 24, 2023, the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Kappa Psi Omega Chapter collaborated with Universal Recycling Technologies to host an electronics recycling event at Warner Park.



UW-Green Bay names Dawn B. Crim, Ph.D., as Vice Chancellor of Inclusivity and Community Engagement

Green Bay, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay announced that Dawn B. Crim, Ph.D. will be joining the University as its new vice chancellor for Inclusivity and Community Engagement effective August 9, 2023.

NASA engineer Kobie Boykins returns to Madison this month to present “Beyond Earth: The Quest for Life on an Icy Moon” at Overture Center for the Arts on Tuesday, Sept. 19 in Capitol Theater as part of the Changemaker Speaker Series.
