Umoja Magazine Memoriam


When I look over the obituary in the Umoja, I am always looking to see my husbands’ name in it. I wanted someone else to come forth and Pay tribute to a lost soul from our community. He did as much giving back as he was able, in spite of his life issues. He died struggling to live.

There is an African Proverb that says "AS LONG AS SOMEONE SPEAKS YOUR NAME, YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN."
